Professionally speaking, Eray Alan is a Digital Product Creator. Using traditional terms, he is a combination of Product Design Leader, UX Designer, Strategist, Product Manager, and Engineer — ordered from most to least confident (though he can always ask Claude). Personally speaking, he is just Eray.
He works at Accenture Song, formerly known as Fjord.
Currently, he is creating an AI Assistant for a retirement record-keeping company that will help people stay on track with their retirement savings in a secure and compliant way.
In his more than ten years at Fjord / Accenture, he created digital products for large corporations in highly regulated and complex industries such as investment banking, insurance, and pharmaceuticals.
Although recently accelerated by Vibe Coding, he has been creating experimental products for a while. Here is a list he had a hard time making shorter.
shouldistayorshouldigo.co (RIP) — An AI breakup advisor that tries to alleviate anxiety from ambivalent relationships by analyzing people's reasons to stay and go, then delivering a detailed report. More than 750,000 people took the assessment, and 3,500-plus paid for the detailed report. Because Google Ads consumed most of the revenue and running a GenAI product giving people relationship advice was making him anxious, he shut it down after more than five years. You can find his talk from Interaction 21 about it here.
Kolaj — A free, private, offline-first collage-making app built for his wife so she could keep creating collages without the scissors and glue.
Comment — An IDE extension that brings Google Docs-style inline comments to Markdown files, turning them into a structured prompt for coding agents to revise.
Tape That — A camera app that organizes videos as they are shot into Tapes for creating continuous videos.
La Durée — An iOS clock app that bends time to match how you actually experience it, built entirely through context-engineered conversations with Claude Code.
High Fidelity — A simple record collection and music player for Spotify that keeps only saved albums.
The Wine Bot — A virtual sommelier, on Instagram, that helps people pick a wine the way he thinks wine should be chosen. Clearly, this was created a long time ago, before GenAI was this common.
If you have some more time, a few more:
Banana Bed — A bed that lets us fall asleep cuddling but keeps us from waking when a sleeping partner tosses and turns.
2021 Santa Monica Tide Forecast — A data visualization for high and low tides.
Daylight — A data visualization for daylight in the cities he thinks about.
Snap Consent — A new way of asking consent when taking photos.
Kebab Connection — A data visualization investigating the correlation between people's personality traits and kebab choices. Displayed during the 2017 Milan Design Week in Milan's most famous kebab shop.
Writing about himself in the third person makes him feel strange.
